Results & Notices

Good Morning OUFC,

It has been another busy week as the Varsity Match approaches, but with more BUCS success for both Blues teams last Wednesday, we’re guaranteed more matches before the big day. This week’s results are detailed below, as are a few notices about how the whole club can get involved in Varsity.

BUCS Knockout Results

Men’s Blues v Manchester – Won 135 – 62 and progress to next round v Durham
Women’s Blues v York – Walkover so automatically progress to next round v Edinburgh
Women’s Assassins – lost to UCL 1sts. A good performance nonetheless.

Varsity Poster

The club will be printing a series of posters next week to promote the Varsity match on 8th of March and we would love to receive some suggestions from club members, so please get creative over the next few days! If you fancy having a go at producing a poster, please email it to me by Wednesday so that the committee can review it and get it printed.

Varsity Volunteers

The Varsity match is one of the most important events in the club’s year and we have ambitious plans to make it even better than two years ago. However in order that this can happen we really need club members who are not fencing to volunteer their help for the day. There a range of roles available, from selling programmes and being on the door, to helping out with the live streaming and electronic fencer displays. None of these jobs are difficult and there really is something for everyone. If you think you can help out (even for just a few hours) please send me an email – your help really is appreciated.

Best Wishes,
Matt.
